Dr. Daniel Kudenko is a research group leader at the L3S ResearchCenter, Leibniz University Hannover, Germany. Before that he was amember of the Computer Science faculty at the University of York, agroup head at JetBrains Research and professor at the Saint PetersburgNational Research Academic University of the Russian Academy ofSciences. His research interests include machine (specificallyreinforcement) learning, multi-agent systems, user modeling, andartificial intelligence for games and interactive entertainment. Withinthese areas, he published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers.

Ivana Marenzi, PhD (F), is senior researcher at the L3S Research Centerof the University of Hannover, Germany. Throughout her career she hasspecialised in the relationship between technology and communication;her main area of research in Technology Enhanced Learning includes thesupport of collaborative and lifelong learning.

Mahdi Bohlouli, Petanux

Mahdi Bohlouli is currently Assistant Professor for data science and machine learning at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) and CEO and founder of Petanux GmbH with the main research focus on applied deep learning and big data, especially in tackling misinformation (fake-news) and identification of social bots areas. This covers the use of a novel recurrent neural network approach featuring an attention mechanism. Furthermore, Mahdi leads significant researches in the areas of applied deep learning and big data analytics in services of tomorrow covering work 4.0, smart cities and web of things.

Dr. Miroslav Štefánik has over 10 years of experience in policy-relevant analysis and research and over 5 years of experience in international projects. He focuses on processing big data to produce policy-relevant information, such as in program impact evaluations and forecasting. Among the topics covered are active labour market and training program evaluation (including VET programs) as well as analysing and predicting future market development. Giampaolo Fiorentino is Head of Content, Data and Think area at Engineering R&D Lab. During his working activity, he acquired almost 20 years of experience in management of research and technology-based innovation, led and coordinated many European R&D projects. Giampaolo conducted innovation and industrial initiatives and served as a member of international industrial boards and committees, such as the 5G Public and Private Partnership.

Leandro Lombardo is a Researcher at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica R&D Lab. He has been working in Engineering II since 2001, joining the Engineering R&D Lab on December 2013. He has an extensive experience in different European research projects (i.e Te.S.C.He.T, Finesce, EmosoDev, WiseGrid), his research interests reside in the fields of the Energy Efficiency Research Area, Future Internet and Internet of Things , Big Data.
